Continuous monitoring of embryo development

Following fertilization embryos are placed into the incubator where they have ideal conditions for their development. Further on, the embryos are taken out of the incubator for microscopic assesment at specific time intervals.

In order not to disturb the development of embryos while retaining the ability to assess the developmental competence of embryos, a digital microscope has been placed inside the incubator to record embryonic development continuosly.

The obtained recording is then digitally processed and analyzed by the computer.

Continuous monitoring of embryo development allows a more accurate assesment of embryo development and supports the selection of the most viable embryos for transfer into the uterus.
